Steve Aos

Aos has more than three decades experience in public policy research. His keynote talk is entitled: Putting Research Evidence and Economics to Work: Policies to Reduce Crime and Save Tax Dollars.

“The timing for the symposium is ideal,” says Spokane attorney and former Center for Justice executive director Breean Beggs. “Everyone agrees that the current system could work better and money is tight, so proven reforms are the answer. We’re on the cusp of major reforms that could save budgets, people’s lives and public safety for decades.”
CFJ volunteer lawyer Mary Lou Johnson, will moderate a mid-morning panel discussion entitled “Money Well Spent.”
