Monday Morning River Stimulus

As Michael Franti says, “Everyone deserves music.”  So to that, I present you a list I’ve compiled recently of my favorite songs about, you guessed it, rivers.

Throughout time, art has been inspired by nature. You see it in paintings, poems, literature, music, cinema and more.  Nature is where artists derive inspiration.  Because of that, there is a great deal of modern music that talks about rivers. From the classic “Roll on Columbia” from Woody Guthrie to one of my favorite new cuts “River’s Edge” by the Great Lake Swimmers and every bluegrass jam about rivers in between.  So I made a list and I offer it to you.  The list can be found on Spotify, and you can see it by clicking HERE.  Don’t have Spotify? Why not?  It’s a great way to listen to and share music.  Use this as an excuse to sign up today – it’s free on a limited use basis.

If Spotify proves to be too challenging or not your bag, I’ll share with you a list put together by American Rivers – it can be found on the YouTube.
