Just as the Sasquatch! music festival is the official start to summer in the Northwest, Memorial Day weekend on the Lochsa River in Idaho is the official start to rafting season in this area.
That may not be true. I just wanted an excuse to post this video of big whitewater hits on the Lochsa River. In all honesty though, the Lochsa River over Memorial Weekend is a big deal. Big thanks to Terry at Kootenai Environmental Alliance for sharing this on his tumblr site recently.
