Rick writes in the River Management Society journal about what it takes to become a Riverkeeper, and what his first year has been like.
The River Management Society’s fall 2009 journal is out and it features a new report by Spokane Riverkeeper Rick
Eichstaedt about the Spokane River, his new role, and how the Spokane Riverkeeper fits within the rapidly growing international alliance and network of Waterkeepers. You can find Rick’s piece on page 10, artfully placed between articles on Oregon’s Rogue River and Montana’s Smith River.
Among other things, the article recaps and reports on Rick’s trip to his first Waterkeeper Alliance gathering that was held this past June in New York. The Society funded Rick’s trip to the conference.
