“Okay, Okayyyyy,” Larissa said. But really she didn’t change and the very next day, while they were out driving the loop looking for a new sandwich shop, Larissa said that what brought her and Josh together was “serendipitous cupidity.”
“Oh,” Agnes said. “Shameless greed brought you together? How sweet.”
“Huh?” Larissa replied. “No, I’m sure it was serendipitous. You can look it up.”
